Why Not Travel As An Insider?

June 15, 2008

It’s that time of the year again, vacation time.  You pack your suitcase, let your 9 to 5 job know that you are going to be getting away for some time and then you hit the plane and off you go. Let’s back up for a minute, how did you book your travel?  Sure you could have called the few brick and mortar travel agencies left but chances are you booked your travel through the internet.  You return from your vacation, with a ton of pictures and memories but that’s it, till next year….what if I told you that you could have actually booked the travel on your OWN website and have gotten paid to travel.  Now I have your attention.

Right now travel is exploding, already it is a 7 trillion a year business worldwide.  That’s 19 Billion per day, 799 million per hour, 13 million per minute.  Travel is growing 23% faster than the global economy.  It is predicated to grow to 14 trillion worldwide by the end of the decade.  Over 80 million Americans booked travel on line last year, and that number is estimated to double over the next 3 years.  When you combine the above facts with the power of the internet and the convenience of a home based business you have a great business opportunity.  Enter the YTB home based travel agencies.

YTB stands for your travel business.  YTB offers the everyday person like you and me the opportunity to own our very own fully automated web based travel site which is back by Travelocity.  YTB offers online travel booking services as wholesale prices for air, hotels, car rentals, cruises, upgrades, vacation packages, and group travel.  YTB also offers bookings facilities for golf, scuba and most theme related vacation packages.  Not to mention entertainment and sporting events.  So now the everyday person can book all these services and more right on their personal websites and get paid a 60% commission on everything booked through your site, whether you book the travel, a friend, or a stranger!!!  On top of that, come tax time you can write all these services off because you are now a business owner and a travel professional.  I hope you see now why it doesn’t make any sense to book your travel “online” with one of the other travel sites when you could book it on your own site and save, get paid and write it off come tax time.

Network Marketing – It’s Not So Much To Sell Your Products, But To Sell Yourself As A Leader

June 14, 2008

In Network Marketing we make money by either selling products, adding people to our downline, residual income etc.  Many network marketers feel that they must sell and talk about their products to everyone they see the reality is the most important product they should be selling is themselves.

People in Network Marketing join people.  They join you because you are a leader who knows what you are talking about; they do not join you because you have the greatest products in the world or the best compensation plan, although that doesn’t hurt.  Many Network Marketers continue to sell their friends and family members on the product of their companies when they should be selling their knowledge, their expertise, there leadership qualities etc.  I have personally seen a drastic change in many of my fellow Network Marketers and my own downline when we changed the focus of our campaigns from our products to ourselves.  The most important thing, therefore; you must do right away is become a leader.

There are a number of things we could do to change the focus of our Network Marketing campaigns from our products to ourselves and I will go over some of them here now.  One of the most important things we need to do is really believe in yourself.  If you are nervous, scared, or just unsure about yourself it will show through in your words and actions.  Why would I want to join someone who is unsure of themselves, people don’t.   Another quality you must have in your arsenal is confidence.   People are naturally attracted towards confident people, and this is huge in Network Marketing.  Another quality you must have is you must be trustworthy.  This my friends is a big one as well. Let’s face it being lied to or a feeling like someone pulled a fast one on you is the worst feelings someone could feel, so one must be honest.

In closing my fellow network marketers please heed my advise one must change or perish.  If we continue to sell products and services and not ourselves as leaders we will soon see our downline getting smaller and smaller as time goes on.  Remember, “The future depends on what we do in the present.”

Why Pick Network Marketing As Your Home Based Business of Choice

June 12, 2008

People ask me all the time why I picked network marketing as my home based business of choice.  They want to know why I just didn’t open up a small brick and mortar business somewhere in the town that I live in.   The reason is LEVERAGE!  There is a whole lot of leverage going on in network marketing.  Let me explain what I mean.

When you open up a small business in your town say a hardware store in your neighborhood you have a great feeling of accomplishment.  A feeling that you did something right.  Sure, your in the red, but hey owning a small business is the American dream right??  So you have to work 12 to 15 hours a day at the beginning to get things moving, again this is the American dream, right?  These are just some of the problems with small businesses.  Lets compare this to a network marketing home based business.  Starting up or joining a network marketing company is no where near the cost of starting a brick and mortar small business.  What about the long hours, well maybe in the old days.  Join the right team, like I did, and everything is automated, the system does most of the work for you.  As an aside, I have to give a shameless plug here to my mentor Daegan Smith and the power prospecting system, ok back again, sorry.

Let’s go back to the small business owner.  More than likely you will need employees.  Hopefully you get lucky and get some good people, but chances are you will get some or a number of employees who really doesn’t care about your business and are just there to collect a pay check.  They don’t care about your products, your store or your customers.  Let face it, we have all seen this, the teenager working at the grocery store who is “too busy” talking to his friends on the phone and doesn’t even acknowledge you’re there.  Let’s look at Network Marketing.  Do you have employees in network marketing…not really you have a team!  Does this team care about you “business” , sure they do, if you succeed they succeed as well.   This is were the leverage comes in.  We are all working for a common cause, for a common goal…to make as  much money as possible.  This, ladies and gentlemen is why I picked and will always pick network marketing over the brick and mortar small business.
